Research on glycosylation methods of salidroside

ABSTRACT  Objective: To design a new glycosylation method of salidroside,and compare its advantages and disadvantages with the classical glycosylation methods.Methods:Salidroside was prepared by glucosylation and alcoholysis with penta-acetyl glucopyranose and benzyl tyrosol as materials and boron trifluoride diethyl etherate as catalyzer.The established method was compared with the silver carbonate catalysis method and stannic chloride catalysis method.Results:The yield of salidroside was 56% by this synthesis method.The established method was of shortened reaction steps,milder reaction,lower cost and less pollution.Conclusion:The method is stable and feasible,and is suitable for industrial production.
