Pharmaceutical care for a child patient with fracture

ABSTRACT  Objective: To explore methods of pharmaceutical care in the pediatric department by clinical pharmacists for a child patient with fracture. Methods:Clinical pharmacists monitored the main drug treatment of the child during hospitalization, and together with the clinicians the pharmacists developed prophylactic antimicrobial application scheme during perioperative period, offered medication education, as well as provided pharmaceutical care for nurses. Results:With the involvement of clinical pharmacists, clinicians timely adjusted treatment schemes, gave instructions on medication, thus achieving individualized therapy. Conclusion:Through the provision of pharmaceutical care, clinical pharmacists optimized treatment schemes, offered medication education and enabled the child patient to obtain far better therapeutic effects.
