ABSTRACT  Objective: To investigate and analyze the current situation of community pharmaceutical care(CPC) provided by community clinical pharmacists (CCPs) after first round of standardized training in Shanghai, so as to provide reference for further improvement of CPC and pharmacist training. Methods: After completion of questionnaire design and demonstration, a questionnaire survey was performed among CCPs of 87 community health care centers (CHCC) that participated in the first round of standardized training. Results: Totally, 91 copies of questionnaire were issued and 87 valid copies were retrieved, with a valid rate of 95.6%. Thirty CCPs (34.3%) were involved in ward call. The percentages of medication consultation and instruction respectively provided to inpatients and patients discharged from hospital were 1273% and 1550%, as compared with those of the same period in 2016. Sixty-nine CCPs (79.3%) offered medication recommendation to physicians, 59 CCPs (67.8%) gave lectures and propaganda on rational medication to community inhabitants, 23 CCPs (26.4%) were involved in the community chronic disease management by private physician team and provided CPC, 50 CCPs (57.5%) thought that the present CCP training mode could meet the general demands of CPC, and 61 CCPs (70.1%) held that CPC at present was on the whole going quite smooth. Conclusion: CPC has been implemented rather comprehensively and good results have been achieved, however there are needs for further improvement and perfection. CCPs should devote more efforts on the study of basic clinical knowledge and clinical pharmaceutical knowledge, so as to improve their pharmaceutical knowledge reserve and professional skills and heighten regulatory awareness and communication capacity. It is hoped that future CCPs training will be closer to practical work of CHCC, so that high quality CPC could be offered to community inhabitants.
