Research progress in analytical methods for iridoid glycosides in Gardeniae Fructus and pharmacokinetics

ABSTRACT  In Gardeniae Fructus there exist various chemical gradients,such as iridoid glycosides,which have obvious anti-inflammatory and anti-pyretic effects. The paper made a comprehensive review of the analytical methods and pharmacokinetic studies of iridoid glycosides in Gardeniae Fructus,with the aim to identify those common analytical methods and disposal process of iridoid glycosides in vivo,so that reference could be provided for the detection of iridoid glycosides in compound Chinese herbal drugs,and solid evidence could also be offered for rational use of the drug clinically.
