Analysis of Ecliptae Herba metabolites by GC-MS method

ABSTRACT  Objective:To establish a metabolomics method based on GC-MS technology and study the differences of metabolite fingerprints of Ecliptae Herba harvested from different origins and at different time.Methods:The extraction conditions and chromatographic conditions were optimized,and principal component analysis was used to extract valuable information of the Ecliptae Herba samples harvested from different origins and at different time.Results:Based on the optimized extraction conditions and chromatographic conditions,GC-MS metabolomics method was established,and the stability of the method was investigated.The small molecular metabolite expression profiles were obtained,and significant differences were found among metabolites of Ecliptae Herba harvested from different origins and at different time.Conclusion:The optimized GC-MS metabolomics method could detect the differences of Ecliptae Herba samples from metabolic level,and expound the effect of different origins and harvest time on metabolites.The study could provide reference for further studies on the metabolomics of Ecliptae Herba.
